Reflecting on his role, Ahmed disclosed, “Parizad and I share many traits. He, too, was shy, a characteristic I carried from my childhood. Both of us dabbled in music – he on a small piano, and I, a poet.”

The actor delved into a shared experience with his character, expressing, “There’s one thing Parizad and I felt in unison, and that is fame. During the filming, I received overwhelming love from people, and that’s something incredibly enriching.” Discussing his approach to roles, Ahmed Ali Akbar revealed, “I consider myself fortunate when it comes to scripts. I don’t discriminate between traditional and unconventional roles. If the story resonates with me, I’m eager to collaborate with the director. My focus is on enhancing my characters.”

When asked about the possibility of portraying a villainous character, Ahmed affirmed, “I’m definitely open to it. Discussions are ongoing for a potential project where audiences might see me in a negative role, but it won’t happen immediately; it will take time.” After a four-year hiatus from the big screen since his 2019 film “Lal Kabutar,” Ahmed is poised for a comeback in the movie “Ganjal,” where he portrays the role of a journalist. The film, slated for release on December 15, holds a special place for Ahmed as he was approached for the project during the shooting of ‘Parizad.’

Recalling the moment he got involved in “Ganjal,” Ahmed shared, “Shoaib Sultan contacted me during the Parizad shoot. We met at a restaurant, and the first thing that struck me was the subject matter. He expressed his desire to create a film on Iqbal Masih, and that resonated with me. I believe in celebrating our heroes. After reading the script, I was convinced, and the project took off after the completion of Parizad.”

“Ganjal” narrates the inspiring story of Iqbal Masih, a child activist who spearheaded a movement against child labor in 1990. Directed by Shoaib Sultan, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Amna Ilyas, Resham, Ahmed Ali Butt, Umair Rana, and Arham Khan, among others.
